We are looking for a Production Manager to join our talented and dedicated team in Feltham's.

The person reports to the Director and would be responsible for Feltham’s Production, Design and development of a wide range of bespoke textile products. Working alongside the division’s General Manager and ensuring that our production teams serve our customers requirements. The person will be responsible for all production operations to include on time delivery, quality, health & safety, productivity and the efficiency of our Feltham’s production/technical team.
This is a varied, fast paced and ever-changing environment and the Job description tries to describe this as best it can. Implementation of a no problem approach and a can-do attitude is key in this role. Teamwork is essential, coupled with a strong problem-solving attitude and ability.
Major Areas of Responsibility
· Management of the WIP for Feltham’s
· Ensuring organisation of the Supervisor
· Ensuring the shop floor is kept, safe, tidy and fit for purpose at all times.
· Ensuring (through the supervision) Work is out the door on time.
· Ensuring stock levels are maintained
· Dispute resolution
· Discipline on the shop floor
· To drive innovation and change from within the company.
· Problem solving in a wide variety of applications.
· Encouraging full cooperation between production and the Sales Team.
· Being involved in the construction of Bills of Materials which will help to plan capacity.
· Identify skill gaps and training requirements.
· Organising the training of new operators, aiding current operators with problem-solving, basic maintenance and minor repairs.
· Encouraging machinists with the more technical products with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
· Providing ad-hoc production tasks when required such as hand-cutting, eyeleting and tasks that require the use of power tools.
· Be responsible (with help & support) for all your team’s personnel issues
Work Environment:
You will work within our modern production facilities at our premises in Ely. You will work under one division of the business at a given time, but this may be changed by the line managers to suit operational requirements and production demand.
You will be responsible for contributing to the general tidiness and upkeep for the working areas to maintain a safe and pleasant working environment, for the benefit of everyone.
You will join our established teams who will be on hand to provide help and support as you start and learn the role. You will be able to draw on many resources to deliver the tasks required. This is a full time, Permanent role. Standard hours 42.5hrs per week Mon – Fr 08:00 – 17:00.
· Occasional Weekend/Evening Work required as well as a good degree of flexibility
Other Requirements
- The role will require flexibility of working hours to deal with seasonal workload, there will periodically be early starts and late finishes and occasional weekend hours
- You’ll mainly work in a factory or warehouse, but occasional site visits will occur.
- You’ll usually wear protective clothing, like overalls and safety shoes.
- Standard hours typically 42.5 per week.
- Holidays 20 days per year – Pro-Rata + bank holidays (additional 3-4 days to cover our Christmas shutdown)
