Full job description

We are a fast-moving digital and flexo label printer. We need an experienced Digital Print Manager/Scheduler to be the operational engine of our factory. We are looking for someone to keep the schedule tight, ensure materials are always in stock, and keep our clients in the loop.

Core Responsibilities

1. Job Scheduling

Own the board: Manage the daily production schedule across our HP Indigo, Screen Truepress, and ABG Digicon lines. This role will be working closely with the production manager who oversees the factory floor.
Maximise uptime: Working closely with the production manager to group runs smartly by substrate and finish to slash changeover times.
Manage the pace: Balance standard lead times with express orders without derailing the factory.

2. Material Control

Zero downtime: Ensure a press never stops because a raw material is missing.
Forecast and order: Maintain tight inventory control over substrates, laminates, foils, inks, and varnishes.
Supplier management: Track deliveries, negotiate lead times, and control stock costs.

3. Customer Updates

Be the bridge: Act as the direct link between factory reality and customer expectations.
Proactive communication: Provide fast, clear updates on job statuses.
Problem solve: Flag potential delays early and always present solutions, not just problems.

What You Bring

Label Expertise: Proven production or scheduling experience specifically in self-adhesive labels.
Technical: Deep understanding of digital print workflows and finishing (HP Indigo and ABG experience is a major plus).
Organisation: An analytical mindset that thrives on optimising moving parts in a high-speed environment.
Clear Communication: The ability to translate technical factory constraints into excellent, fast-paced customer service.
