Job Title: Mechanic

Due to our continued expansion programme, A1 Clutches Derby are looking for highly skilled vehicle technicians and clutch fitters to join our friendly team and assist with the development and growth of our business.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join A1 Clutches Derby the Midlands leading independent clutch, car servicing, diagnostic repair centres. 3) Test and diagnose faults as requested.
4) The ability to work within given timescales and the ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repairs.

6) The willingness to constantly learn and be able to improve your own performance.
7) Generally organised in the workplace.
8) The ability to accurately complete paperwork; i.e. Job sheets / Customer service documentation etc.

Salary:
From £26,500.00 per year, increasing based on experience.

Benefits:
Sick Pay.

Flexible:
Language Requirement: English preferred but not required.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 08.00 - 17.30 - Saturday 08.30 - 15.30

Ability to commute/relocate:
Derby DE12HH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).

Licence/Certification:
- City & Guilds Automotive (Preferred but not required)
- Driving license (Preferred but not required).

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace faulty components, mainly transmission systems.
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role (Preferred but not required, training provided).
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components (Preferred but not required, training provided).
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment (Preferred but not required, training provided).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license (Preferred but not required)
- Own tools (Required)
