Full job description

Job Title: Receptionist
Role: Team Member
Reporting To: Reception Manager
Department: Reception
Hours: Part Time, 22 hours per week, 3 days out of 7 on a rota basis.
Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour, based on previous experience.

The County Hotel, Chelmsford is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Receptionist to work front of house on a part-time basis.

The Company

The hotel is a 4 star city centre 58 bedroom hotel, featuring the award-winning 1 AA Rosette Samphire Restaurant with busy conference and banqueting facilities in the heart of Chelmsford.

The Role

The role of Receptionist will involve the following:

Having natural hospitality charm and a real passion for service. You will strive to make our guests stay the best they can be whilst dealing with a wide range of queries.

Checking guests in and out ensuring their needs are met.

Preparing bills and processing payments according to our procedures.

Answering telephone calls, dealing with customer queries or connecting them to the relevant department.

Taking bedroom reservations and restaurant bookings.

Liaising with other departments to ensure guests needs are met.

The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management and paying close attention to detail is imperative.

The shifts for the role of Receptionist will include 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:00, 11:00-19:00 and 15:00-23:00.

Experience

A minimum of 1 years experience as a hotel receptionist preferred.

Previous experience of working on a hotel reception desk and taking / processing reservations ideal. Knowledge of Rezlynx PMS system would be an advantage.

This would be the ideal role for a newly established receptionist, preferably in a hotel setting, however full training will be provided for any candidate new to the industry.
