About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Architect to join our growing studio. This is a key position within the team, offering the opportunity to lead prestigious residential projects and play an active role in shaping design outcomes from concept through to completion.
You will be responsible for leading projects, developing detailed design packages, and ensuring the highest standards of design quality, technical resolution, and client service. The role requires a balance of creative leadership, technical expertise, and strong project delivery capability.
You will work closely with Directors, fellow designers, consultants, and contractors, and will also support and mentor junior members of the team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of high-end interior architecture projects from concept through to completion
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, and client presentations that clearly communicate design intent
- Produce 2D elevations and rendered elevations to communicate spatial and material proposals
- Act as the primary client contact throughout projects, presenting work and managing feedback
- Collaborate closely with Directors and the wider team, supporting and mentoring junior staff
- Prepare detailed technical drawing packages, including schedules of finishes, architectural details, fireplaces, ironmongery, sanitaryware, and appliances
- Research, recommend, and specify materials, finishes, joinery, plasterwork, radiators, fireplaces, sanitaryware, and appliances
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring delivery within agreed parameters
- Support project delivery during implementation, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and refining design details
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure design intent is maintained and quality standards are met
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and design innovations
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a London-based interior architecture studio
- Strong portfolio of high-end residential (or luxury hospitality) projects
- Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of architectural materials, detailing, and construction methods
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients
