Job Summary
The Cheltenham Town Development Centre is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coach to join our team at the Cheltenham Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching sessions to young players, fostering their development in a supportive environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of aspiring athletes and promote a love of sport within the local community. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels
Support players in developing technical abilities, tactical understanding, and teamwork skills
Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organise training schedules and events
Maintain equipment and ensure the training area remains clean, safe, and well-organised
Assist in organising community outreach programmes and school visits related to sports development

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, with a strong understanding of football or relevant sports
Excellent communication skills, capable of motivating and inspiring young athletes
A recognised coaching qualification or willingness to undertake relevant training courses
Passionate about youth development through sport with a commitment to fostering a positive environment
Organised, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required

This role provides an excellent platform for individuals committed to making a positive impact through sport while developing their coaching skills within a supportive organisation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
