Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organised Funeral Arranger to join our dedicated team. This vital role involves coordinating funeral services with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring families receive respectful support during difficult times. Responsibilities
- Liaise with bereaved families and executors to organise funeral arrangements in accordance with their wishes and cultural requirements
- Coordinate with relevant service providers including crematoria, clergy and celebrants, cemeteries, florists to ensure seamless service delivery
- Prepare necessary documentation and permits required for funeral services
- Assist families in selecting appropriate funeral packages and products, providing guidance with compassion and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records of all arrangements and correspondence
- Provide ongoing support to families before, during and after the funeral service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within the funeral profession or related fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and discretion when dealing with bereaved families
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required
- A respectful attitude towards diverse cultural practices surrounding funerals
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory
Pay: £12.80 per hour
