Job Title Fixed-Term Stock Controller (Maternity Cover)
Hours Full Time – 40 hours

Reporting to Interim Operations Manager
Overall Description of Role
The role is responsible for overseeing and optimising the company’s inventory.
This includes supplier management, forecasting and placing stock orders, booking in PO’s and managing the receipt of goods, controlling the overall inventory to keep within specific budgets and timeframes.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Procurement
Liaise closely with the design team on product development and identify those existing suppliers that are best suited to provide products and where new suppliers may be required
Liaise closely with suppliers on the production of product samples
Liaise closely with our inhouse production department on the assembly of products
Build projected unit costs for products (BOM)
Supplier Management
Maintain Suppliers file which includes all necessary data
Build strong supplier relationships through conducting regular Supplier Reviews and visiting their premises and encouraging them to visit ChloBo. Ensure that we negotiate the best prices through these relationships and having a thorough knowledge of industry pricing/norms.
Check and authorise all supplier’s invoices, ensuring prices are correct
Ensure regular checks and procedures are in place to verify consistent product quality
Monitor supplier precious metal price fluctuations and ensure these are commensurate with published pricing and flag any issues
Manage supplier financial accounts to ensure credit limits are maintained and timely payments made to ensure smooth stock supply
Liaise closely with the accounts department on all planned payments and ensure communication with suppliers on payments
Forecasting
Work closely with the Sales and Marketing departments to produce requirements for demand
Monitor usages to influence forecasting
Work closely with Marketing to assess requirements for all promotional campaigns
Factor into forecasting impacts from promotions on other stock items
Factor into forecasts the impacts of seasonal and peak trading periods
Stock Ordering
Place regular formal orders for all stock items based on agreed supply timeframes
Monitor progress during production to ensure orders will be delivered on time
Produce exception reporting for supplier failures to supply within agreed service levels
Stock Management
Ensure all stock transactions are processed through our ERP system
Ensure all necessary products are Assay approved/stamped in accordance with territory requirements
Ensure that all faulty products are recorded and that these are analysed to identify product weaknesses in terms of design and/or poor-quality manufacture /assembly. Produce regular management reports for faulty products
Ensure all stock items are secure and that no pieces of stock are moved without being recorded
Undertake regular stocktakes both full counts and periodic spot checks
Create report features from our ERP system that allow regular and dynamic reviews of stock holdings in terms of units and values
Product Performance
Analysis of ranges and individual product sales performance. Make recommendations to management on future products, size of ranges/capsules, types of products, styles of products, categories (wristwear/neckwear) etc.
Clearly identify products and product groups sales and profit contributions.
