Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Assembler / Yard Worker to join our garden machinery / paving supply company Crytec Power / Spire Stone Mill. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that all materials get loaded onto the delivery vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks efficiently. Occasionally doing delivery drops with our works van.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to move materials around the yard.
- Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to track stock levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures are followed.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and condition of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts is essential; certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking.
- Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading of goods.
- Basic maths skills for accurate counting and measurement of materials.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with a focus on physical fitness.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Computer literate essential to print labels etc
