Join our growing team in Chichester, where you will play a key role in the manufacture, refurbishment, and installation of our premium modular and portable buildings. In this role, you will bring our structures to life by being responsible for precise first and second fix carpentry, including installing doors, frames, skirting, architraves, timber cladding, and fully fitted kitchens. You will work both within our modern manufacturing facility and travel to customer sites across the UK, ensuring every internal and external finish meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- First & second fix carpentry: carrying out high-quality first and second fix carpentry on new and refurbished modular buildings, including constructing, altering, and repairing timber structures as required.
- Installation & fitting: fitting internal and external doors, frames, linings, ironmongery, skirting boards, architraves, timber trims, kitchens, worktops, fitted furniture, as well as timber cladding, internal wall panelling and decorative timber finishes.
- Technical application: reading and interpreting technical construction drawings, details, and specifications to ensure precise execution of all carpentry work.
- Quality control & finishing: conducting snagging, minor repairs, remedial works, and final finishing touches to consistently achieve our high cosmetic and quality standards.
- Equipment operation & care: safely operating woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools, while performing basic maintenance to keep equipment and tools in prime condition.
- Teamwork & site support: working closely with supervisors and other trades to meet production schedules; assisting with modular building installations and refurbishments on customer sites across the UK, and supporting wider business needs where required.
- Safety, environment & housekeeping: maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workstation both in the facility and on construction sites; participating in toolbox talks and safety briefings; and strictly complying with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems, including prompt hazard reporting.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS Card (or equivalent construction competency card)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified carpenter
- Proven experience in first and second fix carpentry
- Experience fitting internal and external doors, skirting boards, architraves and timber finishes
- Experience installing kitchens and fitted furniture
- Experience fitting timber cladding and internal wall panelling
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction specifications
- Competent in the safe use of woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
- Willingness to travel and work on customer sites throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience within modular construction or off-site manufacturing
- Experience in refurbishment and fit-out projects
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Manual Handling training
