My name is Michael, I am the owner and Principal Chiropractor at Chichester Chiropractic Health Centre. We set up the clinic in February 2013 and since then the clinic has gone from strength to strength. We are looking for a part-time Receptionist / Clinic Assistant to help run our busy front desk.
Please note: This is a temporary maternity cover position, starting in June 2026. The role is expected to last approximately 10.5 months assuming a June start date, with the possibility of extending to up to 12-15 months, depending on clinic requirements and the return date of the employee on maternity leave.
We are looking for someone with a strong customer service background, is confident in themselves and has strong communication skills both face to face and over the telephone. The job is fast paced and you often need to think on your feet, while multitasking and maintaining an eye for detail.
What this role will include:
- For the most part you will be customer facing. You will have to feel comfortable and confident when speaking with people regarding sensitive and personal health issues, while having a caring and compassionate manner.
- You must be computer literate. We use Apple MAC, however if you haven't used this before, full training can be given (they are very easy and simple to use once you have been shown how, so please don't let that put you off).
- Diary management. You, along with the rest of the reception team, will be in control of the Chiropractic and Massage diaries: booking, taking payments and rescheduling appointments.
- Email management. You will be responsible for responding to emails throughout the day and need to also be able to write in a professional manner.
- You will be answering and making telephone calls throughout the day, so you must have an exceptional telephone manner.
- You must be very organised, have exceptional admin skills and be able to not only follow processes, but be proactive in creating more efficient systems.
- You will have a combination of being on your feet and some desk work throughout the day, but more often then not, you are on your feet carrying out reception and admin duties.

What are the hours?
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9am - 6:15pm with a 1 hour lunch
Saturday 9:30am - 2:15pm
*Approximately 29.5 hours per week*
However, we require someone who is flexible to cover annual leave and staff absences in addition to your contracted hours.
