Job Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Planning and Procurement, you’ll be responsible for a set of suppliers, building strong working relationships, keeping our order book accurate and making sure the right materials arrive on time to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Chase suppliers for order acknowledgements and confirm delivery dates.
Keep Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central up to date with accurate delivery information.
Manage the order book for your allocated suppliers and proactively monitor for any risks.
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with your supplier contacts.
Identify and resolve issues as they arise, whether internally or with suppliers, including relaying any quality control concerns back to the relevant supplier and escalating where needed.
Communicate order delays clearly and promptly to the relevant internal teams.
Handle quotation requests for new orders that fall within your supplier categories.

Experience/ characteristics:

Strong communication skills, confident chasing, updating and building rapport with suppliers and colleagues.
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing workloads.
Confidence with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
A proactive, can-do attitude, someone who spots issues early and follows through on resolving them.
The ability to stay calm, prioritise and keep multiple things moving at once.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system. (desired)
Some exposure to a purchasing, supply chain or manufacturing environment (desired)

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Free on-site parking

Hybrid working - one day from home per week after your 3 month probation.
