We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager to become a key part of our pre-construction team.
This isn't a role where you'll simply price tenders and move onto the next one.
You'll help shape how projects are won, challenge designs, work closely with our directors and play a key role in deciding which opportunities the business pursues..
The role
You'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installations across bespoke residential projects, working as part of a professional site team.
- Lead estimating activities across high-end residential and commercial projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.
- Produce accurate cost plans, tenders and budgets.
- Work closely with our Architecture, Civil & Structural, M&E, Construction and Joinery teams.
- Challenge designs to improve buildability and deliver value.
- Meet with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Support negotiations and pre-contract meetings.
- Identify commercial risks before projects commence.
- Help continually improve our estimating systems and processes.
What we need
- Significant estimating experience within the construction industry.
- Experience across multiple disciplines would be advantageous, including construction, M&E, civils or fit-out.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Comfortable communicating with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Someone who enjoys solving problems, not just pricing them.
- A proactive individual who takes ownership and enjoys responsibility.
- A full UK driving licence
