Full job description

IML UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Nightshift CNC Machinist / Setter / Operator to join our team in Weymouth, Dorset.

This is a full-time night shift position working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. The role offers a night shift enhancement of time and a third, along with pension and overtime opportunities.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning and milling machines to produce high-quality precision components.

You will be working with a range of CNC machinery including Fanuc lathes, Citizen sliding head lathes, Heidenhain mills, and DMG mills.

Duties will include

Setting and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
Working from engineering drawings and job instructions
Producing precision machined components to specification
Checking parts using appropriate measuring equipment
Making offsets and adjustments where required
Maintaining quality standards throughout production
Keeping machines and work areas clean, safe, and organised
Working efficiently as part of the night shift team

Skills and Experience Required

Previous CNC setting and operating experience
Turning and milling experience
Experience with Fanuc lathes
Experience with Citizen sliding head lathes would be advantageous
Experience with Heidenhain and DMG milling machines would be advantageous
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
Ability to work independently on night shift
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
