Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated PCB Assembly Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling printed circuit boards using various tools and techniques, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and an understanding of electronic components and assembly procedures. Working hours 40 hours per week-
7:45am - 16:45pm - Mon-Thurs
7:45am - 13:45pm - Friday
Duties
- Assemble printed circuit boards and electronic components in line with work instructions, drawings
- Carry out manual assembly tasks, including component placement, hand soldering (where trained), SMT machinery (where trained) and sub‑assembly work
- Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or non‑conformances
- Follow quality standards and contribute to right‑first‑time production
- Accurately complete production, quality, and traceability records
- Handle electronic components correctly, including ESD‑sensitive items
- Meet production targets while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area in line with 6S principles
- Identify and report defects, shortages, or process issues to supervision
- Support team flexibility by assisting across different assembly tasks as required
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Report any issues, defects, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and surface mount technology (SMT) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical principles, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Previous experience in electronic assembly or related fields is advantageous.
- Good organisational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle small components carefully.
- Basic understanding of electrical components and circuitry.
- Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential for success in this role.
- Conversational level of verbal communication skills in English

Pay: £12.77-£14.00 per hour
