Full job description

We are a small but busy and growing sole practitioner law firm ideally seeking a full time volunteer legal assistant who intends to build carrier in legal industry. This position is not for a person is looking for a short-term work experience. This is for a person who intends to to invest time for a long-term ambition to build a career in the legal industry. The candidate would be assisting and learning, mainly in processing and conducting Personal Injury claims and admin work. After gaining experience this unpaid position may lead to a paid position of a Paralegal subject to the level of skills, experience gained and ability to do the legal work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and capable individual to gain experience from an experienced legal professional.

Key Requirements:

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to assist others and contribute positively to the organisation’s mission
Basic IT skills, including familiarity with common software programmes and troubleshooting procedures
Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
Ability to work diligently in a fast-paced setting
