NW Metal Sections is a leading UK manufacturer of cold-formed steel and cable-containment systems based in Skelmersdale.
We are currently recruiting for Press Brake Operatives/Setters to join our expanding warehouse team with immediate starts available for the right candidates.
Press Brake Setter/Operators will be responsible for setting and operating a Bystronic Press Brake, shaping and forming steel components of various thicknesses. The role includes interpreting engineering drawings, basic maintenance of machinery, and quality checking of finished materials. Occasional support to other departments may be required depending on production demands.
- Previous experience setting and operating a press brake
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Proven experience of metal fabrication work
Monday – Friday weekly rotating shifts.
AM = Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm.
PM = Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm, Friday 12pm – 8pm.
30 mins deducted for break (20 mins, 10 mins)
Competitive salary depending on experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Must be computer literate and able to communicate in English.
Must be self motivated and able to work both alone and as a team.
Must be able to manage own work load.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required when operating machines and carrying out tool changes. May also include heavy lifting.
Overtime available when training is complete.
Interviews arranged as soon as possible with a start date for the successful candidate ASAP.
Must be able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
