Full job description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Legal Cashier to join our Finance team based in St Albans.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within legal finance. No prior legal cashiering experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Cashiering Support

Assist with processing transactions, banking, payments, and account reconciliations
Accurately post receipts and payments while maintaining financial records and documentation

Administrative Support

Respond to finance queries and assist with invoices, expenses, and month-end tasks
Maintain organised digital and physical finance records

Compliance & Controls

Follow financial procedures, SRA Accounts Rules, and internal policies
Escalate discrepancies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Team Support

Collaborate with the Finance team and provide general administrative support
Assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements

Key Responsibilities

Strong attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills
Comfortable working with financial data and numbers
Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Previous experience in finance, accounts, banking, or office administration (desirable)
Experience within a professional services environment (desirable)
