The Role:
AIS is seeking a talented Quality Manager to provide strategic leadership, technical insight, governance, and assurance into the planning and delivery of the Quality management system. The Quality Manager will help combine team leadership and expertise in identifying opportunities to continually improve quality performance and advise senior management on all quality matters to ensure the company complies with group policies and standards.
What will you do as our Quality Manager:
- Promote a positive culture through leadership, consultation, and communication.

Promote company vision of QC responsibility at all levels.

Ensure access to competent advice and support.

Mentor others on quality-related matters, both within the QC & Test team and the wider business.

Support the development of Quality strategy, objectives, and improvement plans.

Verify, through audit and monitoring, that operational areas are effectively managing quality risks.

Provide a focal point of contact for external stakeholders and regulators regarding quality matters.

Ensure appropriate review of quality performance is undertaken by the management team and that corrective action is applied (where necessary) as a result, with scrutiny applied to the effectiveness of implementation.

Carry out monitoring and measuring activities on quality key performance indicators.

Review customer requirements and ensure that they are met or exceeded.

Ensure inspection/FAT activities are aligned with ITP requirements and recorded where relevant.

Establish quality requirements for suppliers and feed into the Technical Purchasing Specification documents.

Defining quality/test procedures and product acceptance criteria in conjunction with product design engineering teams.

Monitoring performance trends by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.

Co-ordinate NCR reporting in the business system including regular communication to relevant stakeholders of status with respect to quantities open and closure times. Provide documentation of FAT test results ensuring any failing results are captured and investigated using the NCR process.

Defines, maintains and co-ordinates quality objectives in line with site strategic goals.

Overall management of QC and Test teams to optimise their contribution to the business with particular emphasis on efficient individual and team working through adequate communication and training.

Lead investigations into process variation, NCRs, and recurring non-conformances to support root cause analysis and corrective actions using defined Practical Problem-Solving methodologies.

Monitor trends and prioritise areas that require improvement.

Identify new techniques and initiatives for improving quality.

Provide assistance and advice to other departments on quality matters.
