About the Role
Within iSAM Securities, the Apex front office team develops and supports an MT4/MT5/FIX bridge using sophisticated proprietary pricing, execution, and liquidity management solutions. We are currently undergoing a rapid expansion of features and re-engineering of this product, combined with growth in client base; hence we are looking for a senior Java developer (8+ years’ experience) to join our London team.
We like to recruit smart professionals who are interested in a hands-on position within a trading firm with a lot of scope to expand and add value. We are a growing but still relatively small team for our responsibilities and we adopt a lean, rapid development cycle so an open mind and willingness to learn are essential. We are agile in spirit, but we don’t follow any ceremonies. We strongly believe in the power of collaboration and personal drive, so the right personality is just as important as technical skills for this role (and for the firm in general).

- Experience in network protocols and socket development is also highly desirable.
- Experience in performance measuring, monitoring, and optimisation is a strong plus.
- Understanding of financial systems with the ability to quickly grasp business needs and align them with technical solutions.
- Some C++ or React experience an advantage.
Personal Attributes
- Highly self-motivated with an attention to detail.
- Reliable, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure.
- Interest in trading and execution, with a capacity to take on a variety of work.
