Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, with a focus on tyre fitting and repair. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres on a variety of vehicles using appropriate hand and power tools
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, advising customers on necessary repairs or replacements
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation and minimise vibrations during driving
- Perform wheel alignments as required to optimise vehicle handling and tyre longevity
- Conduct routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries, providing excellent customer service and technical advice
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Heavy lifting of tyres and related equipment as part of daily responsibilities
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or tyre fitting preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised tyre fitting equipment
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience in maintenance or automotive services is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
