Location: Goole / Halifax

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Heavy Lift Team, operating across both our Goole and Halifax depots. As part of our Heavy Transport division, you will play a vital role in supporting the team, working closely under the direction of a Heavy Lift Supervisor.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a dynamic and essential area of our operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Acting as a trailer banskman / steersman / attendant for other Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AIL’s) Utilising extendable / steerable trailer equipment.
Working as part of a team on the ‘Industrial Services’ part of the business, assisting with jacking / skidding / handling of cargo on various sites and locations.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Must hold a full, clean driving license.
Being a CCNSG Card Holder would be preferred but not essential.
Being a CPCS Forklift / Telehandler Card Holder would be preferred but not essential.
Being a CPCS Slinger/signaler would be preferred but not essential.
Being a BESC AME Card Holder would be preferred but not essential.

LOCATION & CONDITIONS

This role offers the flexibility to be based at either our Goole or Halifax depots, depending on the candidate’s location. However, mobility and adaptability are key. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, but flexibility is essential to meet business demands.

The ideal candidate must be prepared to work away from their base at short notice, both for short and extended periods and be comfortable with irregular working hours when required. Weekend work will also be necessary to accommodate the needs of the business.

We offer 28 days of holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays. Additionally, the role includes company pension contributions (subject to eligibility) and covers subsistence costs for overnight stays away from base. A holiday purchase scheme is also available, subject to conditions.
