Floorlayer
Muirgroup Interiors Ltd has been a successful flooring contracting business since 1976 and we are members of the Contract Flooring Association. We have always worked predominantly with Councils, NHS, Care Homes and on building sites. You will be working within schools, hospitals, care homes and main contractors – these can involve working where vulnerable persons are present or working within live building sites where multi trades are present.
We are currently recruiting fully qualified floorlayers who have a have a high attention to detail, working to a very high standard at all times. Current Blue floorlayers CSCS Card or copy of flooring qualification so as Floorlayers Blue CSCS card can be obtained - required
Working hours are 8 - 4.30 Monday to Thursday and 8 - 3.30 on a Friday, there will be occasions where we will require weekend/overtime working depending on the sites we are on and project deadlines. Fully qualified floorlayers will be required to assist apprentices with their training on a day to day basis.
Main Skills and experience required:
- Fully qualified floorlayer
- Sub-floor preparation including levelling screeds & plywood.
- Fitting vinyl flooring, LVT and wet room flooring
- Welding of vinyl
- Installation of coved upstands
- Carpet and carpet file laying
- Installation of stairway flooring and trims
- Floorcovering Blue current CSCS card
- Candidates will need to pass Disclosure Scotland PVG checks
- Driving license preferred
Once you start with us we will help you submit your PVG membership details for approval from Disclosure Scotland. It is imperative that all onsite operatives are approved through Disclosure Scotlands PVG membership scheme as we are working where vulnerable persons are present and our clients insist that all operatives are, and continue to be approved through this scheme.
Wages – competitive hourly rate depending on experience.
