Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Purchasing Co-ordinator to manage purchasing activities, ensure the timely procurement of goods and services, and maintain strong supplier relationships. This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in supply chain management within a dynamic organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, experience with ERP systems, and an understanding of logistics and negotiation.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day duties will involve, but are not restricted to:
- Order Processing: Raising and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) using an ERP system
- Inventory Tracking: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and resolving delivery discrepancies
- Sourcing & Supplier Management: Evaluate suppliers, lead times, and terms, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Market Research & Trend Analysis: Monitor market dynamics, track competitor activity, and forecast product trends based on consumer data.
- Data Administration: Maintaining accurate records on ERP system and analysing purchasing data.
Key Requirements and Skills
- Organisation & Detail: High accuracy is needed to match POs with delivery notes and invoices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for negotiating and problem-solving with suppliers.
- IT Literacy: Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) and inventory management software.
- Attention to detail
