About us

We are a fast-growing Freight Forwarding Company providing comprehensive Logistics Solutions to clients worldwide. We are seeking a Bright and Enthusiastic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team and support the financial operations of the business.

The Bookkeeper duties will include:

Maintaining and Managing the Finance inbox
Processing accounts payable / purchase ledger invoices and expenses
Processing accounts receivable / sales ledger invoices and credit notes
Processing payments from customers and assisting with reconciliations
Assisting with the collection of customer debt as required
Assisting with production of monthly sales data and analysis
Responding to supplier and agent queries
Inputting of “Urgent” payments submissions
Ad Hoc duties as they arise

This role is excellent for an experienced bookkeeper looking for a job with routine daily tasks or a early career starter looking to gain experience within a finance department. Ideally you will have some knowledge or experience already in accounts, either from studies or work experience. Strong Excel skills are essential together with a very positive work attitude and a desire to learn. The role will be Office based 5 days a week 9:00am to 5:00pm in Colchester, Essex with a 1 hour lunch break. Having your own car is recommended due to location

Person specification

Good communication skills and high level of attention to detail
Ability to work as a team member but confident working independently

Qualifications

5 GCSE’s A*- C or Equivalent (Required)
AAT or Equivalent (Preferred)

Experience

A good level of experience within a similar level position is preferred
