Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Cosmetic Preparation Technician to join the Preparations team at Ipswich Audi. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about delivering high-quality vehicle cosmetic repairs, including alloy wheel refurbishment and SMART repairs.

You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are restored to an exceptional standard, contributing to outstanding customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

Carrying out high-quality SMART repairs (scratches, scuffs, minor dents)
Refurbishing alloy wheels to a professional standard
Preparing vehicle surfaces for paint, including sanding, masking, priming, and polishing
Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and company quality standards
Inspecting completed repairs to guarantee a high-quality finish
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Working closely with the wider Bodyshop team to meet deadlines and targets

What We Are Looking For

Experience in vehicle preparation, SMART repair, or cosmetic repair
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
Good understanding of repair techniques, paint processes, and materials
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Full UK driving licence preferred
