Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized tooling to polish and finish metal surfaces with precision and care
- Grind rough edges and surface imperfections to ensure smooth, uniform finishes on various metal parts
- Operate fabrication equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and polishing stations safely and efficiently
- Follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings created in SolidWorks or similar CAD software to meet exact specifications
- Assemble metal components when necessary, ensuring proper fit and finish for final products
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the warehouse or manufacturing area to promote safety and efficiency
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts to verify surface smoothness, shine, and adherence to standards
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, and polishing techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment used in metal finishing processes
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for understanding automated polishing or fabrication machinery
- Basic math skills for measuring dimensions accurately and calculating material requirements
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and assembly processes is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
