Job description

We are looking for an experienced Claims Advisor to work with the Ingeni Claims & Administration team to act as the first point of contact for incoming claims calls & emails.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Claims Manager.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

· To take calls from clients about initial and/or ongoing claims.

· To assess policy holder requirements against the terms and conditions of the policy.

· Understand and apply knowledge of multiple clients and product schemes.

· Answer incoming calls promptly and within SLAs, always providing the highest level of customer service.

· To always represent the client and the business professionally.

· Obtain claims information from providers to substantiate claims decision/treatment.

· Liaising with our panel of authorised repairers to facilitate repair claims

· General claims administration

The Person

An excellent communicator with previous experience in a customer service-related role

The ability to be empathetic towards our customers, supporting them through a difficult period whilst making their claim journey easy for them and building their loyalty

A good fact finder - you will ask the right questions at the right time to get the customer’s claim processed in the most efficient way

Meticulous and detail orientated - checking facts and asking questions will enable you to weigh up information and make accurate decisions about the claim

Knowledge of insurance products / financial services would be great, but not essential

Skills and experience

· Any customer service/retail or administration experience considered as well as those with a claims background and/or graduates looking for their first career move

· Clear and confident telephone manner

· Good ability within administration (paperwork/PC work etc)

· Organised and confident with a good attention to detail

· Understanding of claims handling/management an advantage

· Proficiency in Microsoft packages. Word/Teams/PowerPoint/Excel

· Motor Industry / Finance / Warranty / General Insurance claims experience is a significant advantage
