Part-Time Veterinary Receptionists (2 Positions Available)
Location: Spring Lodge Vets
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible rota including Saturdays)
We are looking for two enthusiastic and compassionate Part-Time Maternity cover Veterinary Receptionists to join our friendly team at Spring Lodge Vets. As a key member of the practice, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional client care and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
About the Role
You will provide a warm, professional welcome to all clients and visitors, ensuring every interaction reflects the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting clients in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
- Answering phone calls promptly and handling enquiries efficiently
- Booking, cancelling and managing appointments
- Taking cash and card payments
- Processing insurance claims and instalment enquiries
- Handling cash reconciliation and end-of-day banking procedures
- Dispensing medications and prescriptions
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Managing and responding to clinic emails
- Completing daily administrative paperwork (lab reports, consent forms, vaccination documents, etc.)
- Ensuring reception areas, client information and retail products are well stocked and presentable
- Liaising with charities regarding collection boxes
- Attending reception team meetings when required

Experience
Previous customer-facing experience is essential. Experience in a veterinary or medical setting is desirable but not required, as full training will be provided. If you are passionate about client care and want to be part of a dedicated veterinary team, we would love to hear from you.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
