If you have recently received your GCSE or A-Level results and they were not what you hoped for, or you have decided that college or university is not the right path for you, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.
At HSF, we believe your results do not define your potential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Junior CAD Technician Apprentice who is ready to learn, develop new skills and begin a career in design and manufacturing.
You do not need previous CAD or CNC experience. Full training will be provided.
Working alongside our experienced team, you will learn how to:
- Create accurate job packs for production
- Input new jobs and maintain information on our internal system
- Produce and update CAD drawings
- Create programmes for CNC lasers using SigmaNest.
- Check drawings, specifications and job information for accuracy
- Support the wider team with technical and administrative tasks
- Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an interest in design, engineering or manufacturing
- Is comfortable using computers and keen to learn new software
- Has good attention to detail
- Is organised and able to manage different tasks
- Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team
- Has a positive, reliable and practical approach
- Is ready to learn and build a long-term career
Previous experience with CAD software is welcome but is not essential.
- Full training in CAD software, CNC programming and our internal systems
