Full job description

Registered House Manager

As a Registered House Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the leadership, management, and operation of a residential children’s home. This is a pivotal role, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while leading and developing a confident, motivated team.

The Role

Lead the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the home
Ensure high-quality, person-centred, and trauma-informed care at all times
Promote a strong safeguarding and child protection culture
Lead, support, and develop the house team through supervision and training
Maintain compliance with Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements
Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively
Work positively with Local Authorities, external agencies, and regulators

About You

Experience managing teams within a residential childcare setting

Qualifications and Experience

SVQ Level 4 / SCQF Level 9 Children and Young People and CSLM (or equivalent meeting SSSC requirements)
Minimum 2 years’ experience at management level and 5+ years in residential child care
Experience of supervising staff within a residential children’s setting
Full clean UK driving licence

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £36,500 – £48,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
