Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization while developing your accounting skills in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and proficient with various accounting software platforms.

Responsibilities

Record and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software such on Xero
Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals
Assist with bank reconciliations and prepare financial reports as needed
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
Handle general administrative duties related to bookkeeping tasks

Skills

Proficiency in popular accounting software platforms in Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
