Join the team keeping New Zealand's vehicles safe and compliant

At VINZ, we're all about making sure vehicles on New Zealand roads meet the right standards, and behind every successful inspection is a team of people who take pride in doing things properly.

We're looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our team and support our vehicle inspection process. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside our experienced inspectors, preparing vehicles for Used Light Entry inspections by removing and refitting required vehicle components.

If you enjoy working with vehicles, getting stuck into practical tasks, and being part of a team where quality and safety matter, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you'll be doing:

Stripping and refitting vehicle components as part of the compliance inspection process
Preparing vehicles for inspections and supporting our inspection team
Using basic tools and practical skills to complete quality work
Helping ensure vehicles meet New Zealand compliance standards
Working safely and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What we're looking for:

You don't need to be trade qualified, we'll provide full training. We're looking for someone who:

Has some mechanical experience, automotive knowledge, or a strong interest in vehicles
Is practical, hands-on, and enjoys working with their hands
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in doing a job well
Is physically fit and comfortable lifting wheels and handling vehicle components
Works well as part of a team and has a positive attitude
