Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, organised and genuinely warm Front of House Assistant Manager to help lead the guest experience at our award-winning restaurant. Set within the beautiful surroundings of Quince Honey Farm, Our Nectary Restaurant is a growing and expanding business built on exceptional service, seasonal local produce with some ingredients harvested from our own kitchen garden.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a key leadership role in a business that is thriving, ambitious and proud of what it does.
You will help the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily front of house operations, maintain exceptional service standards and help shape a customer experience that reflects the quality and creativity of our award-winning menu.
This is a full time role based on 32 - 37.5 hours a week.
Our restaurant is open from 9.30am till 4pm everyday and for occasional special evening events.
Days off - you will always have one weekend day off which will be an alternative Saturday or Sunday with an additional day off during the week, this will be a set day as agreed with your manager.
Flexibility - There may be the odd occasion where you are required to work two days at the weekend or swap a day off to cover sickness or holiday.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and inspire the front of house team
- Deliver outstanding customer service with warmth and professionalism
- Ensure smooth day-to-day service operations
- Maintain high standards of organisation and presentation
- Manage bookings, guest relations and service flow
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication
- Train and develop team members to uphold excellence
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the business
- Oversee guest service to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Can demonstrate customer service excellence with a friendliness & warmth, must have the ability to maintain this in a high pressure environment.
- Must have high levels of cleaning standards.
- Can utilise time effectively ensuring team productivity.
- The ability to see where improvements can be made and execute them.
- Proven managment & leadership experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance is essential.
