Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our prestigious hotel. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences, supervise staff, and maintain the highest standards of hospitality. The Hotel Duty Manager will be responsible for managing guest relations, coordinating departmental activities, and ensuring smooth operational flow throughout their shift.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments function efficiently and effectively
- Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including reception, concierge, and housekeeping teams
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Coordinate check-in and check-out procedures to optimise guest satisfaction
- Monitor safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Assist in managing reservations, room allocations, and billing processes
- Support human resources functions such as staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Conduct regular inspections of public areas to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards
- Collaborate with other departments to organise events or special functions as required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or hotel environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele
- Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to staff management and development
- Familiarity with hotel operations systems and reservation software
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining professionalism at all times

Pay: £24,500.00-£42,168.41 per year
