Role purpose: Part of the project Quality team, supporting the project Quality Manager and (Senior) Quality Engineers/Advisor in conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Control work within the team.
What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will have the following accountabilities:
- Support project teams in developing the inspection & test plans, ensure they are being followed and that requirements are being met, and review those from the supply chain;
- Assist in reporting Quality performance relating to agreed business or project KPIs;
- Assist in implementing quality assurance and quality control mechanisms;
- Advise delivery teams in using the appropriate digital quality and governance systems and supporting the management of issues as required;
- Coordinate with others to produce and handover project and/or business quality deliverables;
- Support the quality team in dealing with internal and external audits;
- Encourage the sharing of good practice and learning to embed continual improvement;
- Responsible for ensuring that quality related data is stored and entered correctly in a system for use and manipulation by the project’s Data Engineer / Business Analyst;
- Supports the preparation of monthly Quality reports;
- Draft updates to Quality procedures and templates for the review and approval of the Quality Manager;
- Prepares Lessons Learned presentations and relevant Quality Bulletins and distributes to Project Teams;
- Reviews and approves the digitized templates of records before they are actively used by Project Teams and makes the required announcements once they are ready for use;
- Supports the Senior Quality Engineer (based at Orwell) in the follow up of findings from the supply chain audits;
- Assist other quality or project staff undertaking internal audit or focused surveillance.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Awareness and understanding of quality and/or technical standards.
Level 4+ Qualification in Quality, Construction or Manufacturing (relevant industry);
- CQI Student or Affiliate Member (S/ACQI);
- Able to demonstrate initiative and resilience;
- Possesses good interpersonal, communication and good time management skills.
