Commissioning Supervisor
Job Responsibilities / Key Performance Indicators :
(The role will include, but is not limited to the following)
- Managing the commissioning engineers.
- Taking responsibility of commissioning sales staff to ensure sufficient orders are in place to cover the workload.
- Managing the daily planner.
- Liaising with the existing clients regarding small works.
- Follow up and manage commissioning issues arising and close out to agreed deadlines.
- Liaise with contractors in a proactive manner to close out commissioning works in the agreed time frames.
- Ensure site readiness before commissioning works are undertaken.
- Quote projects and works.
- Produce commissioning RAMS (Risk Assessments/Method Statements)
- Reviewing equipment asset registers and updating accordingly.
- Responsibility for calibration of engineer’s equipment.
- Manage the engineer’s performance ensuring engineer training is up to date and training provided for any new starters.
- Track the engineer’s qualifications. ie CSCS Cards, Asbestos’s awareness etc.
- Reviewing and issue engineer reports to the clients.
- Following up on outstanding tasks and take necessary actions.
- Site inspections, quality control visits, to ensure company compliance and regulatory standards are being maintained by the engineers.
- Advising, planning, implementing and monitoring remedial works and managing engineers.
- Monitoring and actioning engineers daily site sheets.
- Monthly audit site to be collated and any issues actioned.
- Liaise with accounts on a weekly basis (generally Friday afternoon) and advise on works that can be invoiced and any invoicing for variations and aborted time.
- Reporting to the operations manager at a weekly meeting, reporting issues with sites over runs on works and engineer issues.
Requirements for the position :
- Must possess sound knowledge and have proven background and experience in HVAC commissioning & balancing, ideally holding relevant qualifications
- CSA Grade 3 or 4 preferred.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Provide excellent customer service to meet the expectations and requirements of our customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with the company’s client base.
- To ensure customer satisfaction of service offered, to make contact with client’s representative on site at each site visit and to build customer relations.
- Knowledge of the procedures for air and water balancing to BSRIA guidelines and CIBSE Codes A & W.
- Ensure customer and personal safety at all times.
- To abide to company rules, Health and Safety and Quality policies.
- Carry out all reasonable tasks, requests or projects as requested.
- To follow instructions as given by project managers/lead engineers.
- To provide your own basic hand tools, specialist company instrumentation will be provided (to be treated will full care and attention).
- Always behave respectfully with customers, work colleagues and office staff.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
- CSCS SKILL Card.

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
