About the role:
Northumbria Healthcare's Digital Services team provides all the technology and technical development to assist in the current electronic systems and the development and delivery of the drive to be paper-free at the point of care. You will support existing PC equipment and software applications along with the deployment of new equipment and software.
Responsibilities:
Providing support for all PC equipment, software, and mobile devices throughout the Trust, including installation of PC hardware, software, and peripheral devices
Investigate routine enquiries and queries from staff, providing assistance & advice as required
Order, install, and configure new IT desktop equipment and Mobile devices
Manage and maintain the asset database and documentation
Ensure new equipment is installed and configured
Troubleshoot and resolve basic service desk support calls
Update systems to track the lifetime of IT assets within the Trust
Desirable skills:
A good knowledge of Windows based operating systems, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office suites
Demonstrable knowledge of desktop equipment, including: PCs, laptops, printers, tablets and phones
Entry requirements:
3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
