Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate person to join our team. The ideal candidate does not need a background in kitchen operations and food preparation, as all training and guidance will be provided. This role is essential in delivering a balanced and nutritious menu that meet our diverse and ever changing dietary requirements expectations while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

To ensure that children are provided with healthy and nutritional meals and snacks during the day and the kitchen is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and senior practitioners to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is necessary.
To pay attention to and adhere to guidelines in personal hygiene and appearance,
To abide by all nursery policies and procedures.
To maintain confidentiality in line with employment conditions,

Skills

Some basic food preperation and cooking skills.
Some knowledge about food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring high-quality output.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Job Type: Part-time
