Spiegl Press Ltd is a great little family run business and the home of The Stamford Notebook Company. We provide a wide range of products and services, offering luxury and commercial print and stationery as well as manufacturing notebooks for trade and corporate customers alongside creating products for our own brand. We have a team of fantastic staff who work hard and enjoy the uniqueness of creating handcrafted products.
We are a time pressured, commercial manufacturing facility, and we ask that you are happily able to cope with this type of environment before applying for this position. The role is to provide support during our busy Christmas period therefore you will need to be available throughout November and December.
The role is to work as part of our highly skillful team, producing our exceptionally high quality hand bound notebooks, lifestyle books, leather journals and leather accessories. There is no computer work involved. You will learn traditional and fascinating bookbinding and print finishing skills.
We provide exceptional customer service and strive to maintain high standards at all times, in return we offer a relaxed team environment and the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills, full training will be given.
You will need to maintain a calm and efficient working manner and expect the unexpected, the nature of a small business means that things change quickly and you need to be able to react and adapt!
Working hours are broadly 8.30-5 Monday to Friday, we will consider flexible hours for the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS
- MINIMUM OF 4 GCSE’S INCLUDING ENGLISH AND MATHS
- YOU MUST BE DEXTROUS (GOOD WITH YOUR HANDS) - YOU WILL BE ASKED ABOUT THIS!
- CREATIVITY AND A KEEN EYE FOR DETAIL IS A MUST
- YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO STAND FOR LENGTHY PERIODS OF TIME AS THERE IS BENCHWORK AND WORKING WITH MACHINERY.
