Full job description

Early Years Practitioner based at Baby Room | Corby (NN17 1XA)
Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week over 4 days
Hourly Rate: £12.71 – £13.00 (based on qualifications and experience)

Do you enjoy inspiring young children, working in partnership with families, and helping every child reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baby Room Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and experienced nursery team in Corby.

Our nursery is a place where curiosity is encouraged, achievements are celebrated, and children are supported to grow in confidence every day. If you’re passionate about early years education, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a caring, stimulating, and secure environment that supports children’s learning and development.
Plan and deliver engaging activities that reflect the EYFS framework and children’s individual interests.
Take on the role of key person, developing positive relationships with children and their families.
Offer guidance and encouragement to less experienced colleagues, helping to build a strong team.
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform future planning.
Work closely with Room Leaders and Heads of Unit to ensure consistently high standards.
Follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times.

What You’ll Need:

A Level 2 qualification or higher in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ).
At least two years’ experience working within an early years setting.
Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
A caring, patient approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
A current DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding certification (or willingness to obtain).
