PRIMARY ROLE
The Stores Administrator is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the stores or warehouse function. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating stock movements, processing delivery documentation, and ensuring that materials and supplies are managed effectively to meet business needs, including handling export documentation for outgoing shipments.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and dispatches
· Process delivery notes, invoices and purchase orders
· Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal departments
· Prepare and manage commercial invoices for customs clearance on outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations
· Liaise with freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing
· Ensure proper documentation reporting for incoming and outgoing goods
· Assist in implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
· Conduct regular stock checks and assist with audits
· Update inventory management systems and databases for stock transfers
· Support the organisation and cleanliness of the stores area
· Maintain and replenish consumables ordering
· Handle general administrative duties related to the stores function
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
· Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or administrative role preferred
· Experience with export documentation and customs procedures (desirable)
· Strong organisational and time-management skills
· Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
· Familiarity with inventory management systems (desirable)
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

WORKING CONDITIONS
· Typically, office-based within a warehouse or stores environment

Pay: From £14.50 per hour
