About the Role
We're looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team in Hinckley, supporting the delivery of digital and data projects across our core sectors. This is a hands-on role where you'll be managing real projects and a team of 10 from day one, including forecasting workload and tracking team utilisation so we're looking for someone organised, commercially aware, and comfortable operating in a technical environment, even if you're not writing code yourself. You'll be collaborating with both onshore and offshore resources, so the ability to communicate clearly across time zones and cultures is key.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing end-to-end delivery of website and digital build projects, from brief through to launch
- Supporting the ongoing development and delivery of ITRoadway's proprietary Learning Management System (LMS), coordinating between clients, stakeholders, and the internal development team
- Overseeing data and reporting projects, coordinating requirements between clients and technical teams
- Leading and managing a cross-functional team of 10, including a Business Analyst, QA Engineer, WordPress Developer, Custom Developer, UI/UX Designer, and DevOps Engineer
- Collaborating effectively with both onshore and offshore resources, ensuring clear communication and alignment across time zones
- Producing team forecasts and tracking utilisation across the team to ensure resource is allocated effectively and capacity is visible to senior stakeholders
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders across education, healthcare, and charity organisations
- Writing and maintaining project documentation including briefs, business requirements documents (BRDs), and functional specs
- Managing and triaging tickets, assisting the team in keeping the backlog organised and priorities clear
- Tracking project progress, risks, and issues using Monday.com
- Coordinating across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Managing communications and project coordination through Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM-related discipline
- 1–2 years of experience in a project management, coordination, or delivery role
- Confident managing stakeholder relationships at all levels, including NHS and public sector clients
- Comfortable reading technical documentation, user stories, and briefs, you don't need to code, but you need to understand what the team is building
- Able to remain calm, focused, and solutions-oriented when working under pressure or managing competing priorities
- Comfortable collaborating with onshore and offshore teams across different time zones and working styles
- Experience writing BRDs, project briefs, or functional specifications
- Experience with resource forecasting and team utilisation tracking
- Familiarity with project management tooling such as Monday.com, Jira, Asana, or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Teams and SharePoint
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear communicator written and verbal
Nice to Have
- Experience working with NHS or public sector clients
- Familiarity with agile or scrum delivery methodologies
- Exposure to web build or software delivery projects
- Experience with or interest in e-learning platforms or LMS products
- Prince2 Foundation or equivalent PM qualification (or working towards one)
