Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Coffee Shop Supervisor to join our dynamic team on a job share basis. In this role, you will lead daily operations with the other supervisor, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. Your leadership will inspire the team of volunteers to deliver a warm and welcoming atmosphere, fostering a vibrant environment where both volunteers and customers feel valued. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality, food preparation, and team management to make a positive impact in a lively coffee shop setting with a hands on approach.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily coffee shop operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to centre standards.
Supervise and support team members in food preparation, serving, and cleaning tasks to maintain high-quality standards
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, resolving any issues promptly and professionally
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to foster a motivated and efficient team
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and food production procedures at all times
Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas
Support the implementation of new menu items or promotional activities to enhance customer experience

Qualifications

Proven supervising or team management experience within a coffee shop or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Experience working in a café setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of hospitality standards, including serving techniques and customer engagement
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
Familiarity with kitchen operations, food production processes, and health regulations
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
