Job Description:

Big Motoring World Group is a leading car supermarket that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Yard Person at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:30pm

Duties and responsibilities:

Safe movement of vehicles on site
Shuttle runs to Fengate and dealerships
Inspection of vehicles unloading from our vehicle transporters
Identifying damage, vehicle defects or shortages from vehicle specifications
Key programming to our key management system
Moving vehicles to workshops in date priority order.
General yard duties
Prior experience of working to output targets
Good communicative skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
Any Ad-hoc duties as required
Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
Driving licence essential

Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
