Role Summary
We are seeking an energetic and commercially minded Sales Executive to support the continued growth of the business.
This is a predominantly office-based role, focused on converting inbound enquiries, generating new opportunities and building long-term customer relationships. The successful candidate will manage opportunities from initial contact through to quotation, negotiation and order placement, working closely with operational and technical teams throughout the process.
Whilst primarily based at our Forfar office, the role includes customer visits, site meetings and industry events where there is clear commercial value. The position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson to develop their career within a growing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth and Business Development
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound enquiries
- Generate quotations, proposals and commercial offers
- Proactively identify and contact potential customers within target sectors
- Develop new opportunities through telephone, email, LinkedIn and networking activity
- Follow up marketing campaigns, referrals and website-generated leads
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Manage opportunities through to successful order placement
Customer Relationships
- Build strong professional relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Conduct customer meetings and site visits where appropriate
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth
- Act as a professional ambassador for Superfine Manufacturing at all times
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales process
Commercial Management
- Maintain accurate records within the company CRM system
- Track opportunities, quotations, conversion rates and sales forecasts
- Prepare regular pipeline and activity reports for management
- Ensure opportunities remain commercially viable and aligned with business objectives
- Work with operational teams to ensure customer requirements can be delivered effectively
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with production, technical, purchasing, finance and group Commercial teams
- Ensure smooth handover of new business into operations
- Support continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience
- Contribute market intelligence, competitor insights and customer feedback
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in a sales, business development, account management or customer-facing commercial role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and develop customer relationships
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Self-motivated, organised and results focused
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, chemical or technical sectors
- Experience preparing quotations and commercial proposals
- Experience of consultative or solution-based selling
- Familiarity with HubSpot CRM or similar systems
- Understanding of B2B sales processes
