Laing O'Rourke is looking for experienced Steelfixers to join our team on the M42 Box HS2 Project.

As part of our directly employed workforce, you'll work on one of the UK's most important infrastructure projects whilst gaining excellent training, development and long-term career opportunities. With an £8 billion pipeline of work, now is the perfect time to join us.

KEY DUTIES

Read and understand steel reinforcement drawings and schedules.
Cut, bend and fix steel reinforcement to specification.
Install reinforcement safely and correctly according to project requirements.
Work together with site teams to meet programme and quality targets.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship at all times.
Follow approved safe working methods and site procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Proven experience as a Steelfixer.
Ability to read and understand steel reinforcement drawings.
Strong knowledge of steel fixing methods and construction practices.
Ability to work accurately and to high quality standards.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Experience working on major infrastructure or construction projects is desirable.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

CSCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue)
