Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This role offers an opportunity to lead a talented team in a fast-paced setting, fostering a positive work environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and service.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene practices, temperature controls, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations.
Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary, supporting team members during busy periods.
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, supporting serving staff as needed.
Organise shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor staff performance to optimise productivity.
Maintain stock levels, order supplies as required, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, or restaurant operations.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff.
Practical knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety procedures.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. This role offers an engaging opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant kitchen team while ensuring the delivery of outstanding culinary experiences in a well-respected establishment.
