We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Birmingham branch. Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving sales growth, supporting existing customers, and developing new business opportunities within the security products sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales through proactive and reactive customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing first-class service and support.
- Develop structured area plans to manage and prioritise sales activity.
- Handle incoming sales enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Identify new business opportunities, open new accounts, and expand our customer base.
- Support the day-to-day running of the Birmingham Trade Counter, assisting during busy periods or absences.
- Maintain accurate CRM and administrative records including call reports and market feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to create customer value and share best practice.
About You
- Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to build quick rapport.
- Organised, methodical, and self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.
- Confident, friendly, and professional manner.
- Positive attitude with resilience and perseverance.
- Previous experience in sales or account management is essential.
- Knowledge of the Security Products or Wholesale industry is advantageous but not essential.
