(Purfleet)

We are looking to expand on our current groups of Cargo Operatives to meet the increasing demands within our busy 24/7 ro-ro terminal.

Within this challenging role, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient operation is achieved for handling our customer’s cargo on & off our ships and around the port environment.

Your role

Using port equipment (e.g. terminal tractors/cranes/fork lift trucks) for handling our customer’s cargo on & off our ships and around the port environment. Full training will be provided.

To follow health and safety procedures as laid out by the port.

Using our internal Freight Management System for locating cargo around the port.

To assist in the mooring and unmooring of our ships.

Your profile

An aptitude to driving.

Able to work a rotational shift pattern including days, nights, and weekends.

Pro-active approach to and knowledge of H&S.

Team player able to work on their own initiative.

Experience of port or warehouse operations ideally driving plant/machinery – although desirable this is not essential as training will be given.
